Il parrocchetto di Pfrimer (Pyrrhura pfrimeri Miranda-Ribeiro, 1920) è un uccello della famiglia degli Psittacidi. È endemico degli Stati brasiliani del Goiás e del Tocantins, dove vive solamente nelle foreste semi-decidue della Caatinga.
In passato è stato spesso considerato una sottospecie del parrocchetto guancebianche, dal quale si differenzia per l'areale, per la scelta dell'habitat e per alcune caratteristiche del piumaggio (a differenza del parrocchetto guancebianche presenta una macchia chiara sulle copritrici auricolari molto ridotta). Uno studio recente basato sull'analisi del DNA mitocondriale ha confermato il suo status di specie separata.
Questo parrocchetto è incluso da BirdLife International tra le specie in pericolo. La sua sopravvivenza è minacciata soprattutto dalla continua deforestazione che mette in pericolo un habitat già gravemente compromesso.

Long consigned to ‘mere’ subspecific status, the Pfrimer’s Parakeet is nowadays regarded as a species apart from the Maroon-faced Parakeet (Pyrrhura leucotis). It is an overall green-colored bird with blue in the wings, a red-brown rump, tail and belly, dark green scallops over the underparts, a chestnut-red face, and a blue crown to hindneck. It is usually found in small groups, feeding on flowers, fruits and seeds, sometimes even descending to the ground. Endemic to the dry, limestone-based (caatinga-like) forests of central Brazil, where it is restricted to the relatively remote Serra Geral region, in the states of Goiás and Tocantins, much of its habitat has been (and continues to be) logged. As a result, this parakeet is currently categorized as Endangered, and very little has been published to date concerning its ecology and natural history.
