Visto che che è mia intenzione acquistare 2 coppie di Lucherini t.n. se è proprio vero che si tratta di una razza robusta che ben si adatta a climi freddi (allevo all'esterno) pur con le dovute precauzioni del caso (mi riferisco alle protezioni da vento e pioggia). Inoltre, vorrei sapere se le gabbie da 70cm. sono sufficienti per la riproduzione.

The Black-headed Siskin and perhaps even more so the black-breasted Siskin are among the most robust South American Spinus around. Of course, if you buy them from a breeder who keeps them indoors and heated and you take them home to "slam" them out, you may encounter some problems.
I recommend keeping them permanently outside, suitably sheltered. As for the reproduction, each of my females reproduces "alone" within gabion compartments of about 40 cm. so I believe that the cages you adopt will no doubt be adequate.
